History of Lake Toba
Lake Toba is a natural lake in Indonesia located in the Caldera of the Super Volcano. The lake has a length of 100 kilometers (62 miles), a width of 30 kilometers (19 miles), and a height of 505 meters (1657 feet). The lake is located in the middle of the northern island of Sumatra with a surface height of around 900 meters (2953 feet). Lake Toba is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.
